Your own quiet inner weather

Come closer, dear — the first thing my eye finds is the little mound of grounds resting deep in the bottom of the cup, dark and rounded like a hill after rain. Because it sits low, it speaks of the deeper current rather than tomorrow's small errands: something in your life is settling, quietly thickening into place, and it will show itself by the next moon. There is no hurry in a mound. It simply stays until it is ready to be seen.

Along the rim, though, the grounds have spread into forked trails, thin brown branches reaching out and dividing, and one of them runs down the left wall like a small river deciding where to go. Rim means the present, the days just ahead — so expect a fork in the coming days: two reasonable ways forward, neither of them wrong. Notice which trail your hand reaches for before your head has finished arguing.

The soft dark sweep on the side nearest the handle feels like your own inner weather rather than someone else's doing; with only the top-down view I say this gently, since the handle side and the far side can blur in a single photo — still, that sweep reads as yours, and it pairs with the mound in a sweet way. The theme underneath is patience: a choice at the rim, a settling at the base, and you in the middle being asked to let both ripen rather than force either.

One small thing to carry with you: when the fork appears this week, write the two paths on a scrap of paper and set it under your cup overnight — no ceremony needed, just a pause. Whatever you still want in the morning is your answer. And if you can, send me a side view of the cup next time, so I can tell you truly which shapes belong to you and which to the world outside your door.
